When is it too late to file ault charges in kentucky, and should we???

My husband worked at a night club as a sound tech, he noticed a friend being escorted out by bouncers. He went over and asked the guy what was wrong and he said he didn't do anything. Then the boucers started attacking the guy. He wasn't fighting, and was down and knocked out and they were still attacking him and kicking him, there were 6 of them. The leader being enraged on steroids. My husband pulls the bouncer off the unconsious man and is then attacked and beaten unconsious by the other 5 bouncers. They were both out for several minutes. Then they just left, instead of calling 911 like big dummies. This was my hubby's place of employment and the bouncers stated that they could do what ever they wanted, they didn't have to have a reason to beat people up or kick them out. It's been over 24 hours now, and i've been trying to talk him into going to the hospital, but he hates long waits. WHat should we do, if there is anything we can do. We live in KENTUCKY.
